]]>Ozuna recently reflected on his decade in an interview with Rolling Stone, and named Daddy Yankee’s record Mundial as his favorite album of the 2010s. He also praised him for taking his music to another level by constantly collaborating with rising reggaeton stars.
“It’s important for a star to help uplift younger artists – that’s what Daddy Yankee does, and I am building a family in music, too. Guys like Daddy Yankee, Wisin y Yandel, Jowell y Randy… they inspire me and make me believe in urban music today,” explained Ozuna.
Ozuna and Daddy Yankee teamed up on several occasions in the past, and their most successful collaboration, “China,” topped the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart.
Ozuna also told Rolling Stone he intends to foster his collaborative approach to music in 2020, and make different rhythms and styles alongside other artists.

Music won’t be the only thing keeping Jennifer Lopez busy in the months leading up to iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina. Her upcoming movie Hustlers is set to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, before hitting the theaters in the US on September 13th.

Justin Bieber and Cardi B got eight nominations each, while Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, the duo behind the smashing hit “Despacito,” racked up seven nominations.
According to the official statement, “Billboard Music Awards nominees are based on key fan interactions with music, including album and digital song sales, streaming, radio airplay, touring and social engagement. These measurements are tracked year-round by Billboard and its data partners, including Nielsen Music and Next Big Sound. The awards are based on the reporting period of April 8, 2017, through March 31, 2018.”
The 2018 Billboard Music Awards will take place on May 20th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, with singer Kelly Clarkson serving as a host.
