“Snoop was amazing and immediately into the idea because he himself gives so much back to the community and it just kind of evolved into something bigger and it’s become something really exciting and I think we can do some real good with it!” explained Layke.
They could’ve gone with pretty much any song, but felt this Marshmello and Bastille colab is the perfect choice. Despite the somber tone of the original, they managed to put a spin on it and make it more upbeat and hopeful.
“I felt like ‘Happier’ was the perfect song because it’s all over the world right now, everybody loves it, and I think there’s a lot of different things you can take away from that song and its meaning,” explained Layke.

Cyrus recently revealed she’s been texting Grande on regular basis, and said it would be nice if they could hit the clubs and play their new songs one of these days.
“I’ve been trying to start a real relationship and not ask her to work or collaborate too much. I feel like she could use a friend and I could use a friend, I’d love to start that relationship with her,” explained former Disney princess.

]]>The English quartet recently made a stop at BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge to promote their third studio album A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships. Instead of simply performing a few songs from their latest record, the guys of The 1975 put aside a couple of minutes to pay homage to Ari.
“Grande is the main protagonist… in most people’s lives. She’s had a right old tough time and I like her a lot, and she’s got a great voice. And I don’t. So I’m gonna sing one of her songs,” said band’s frontman Matty Healy before delivering an amazing cover of “Thank U, Next.”
The 1975 version of the hit song is the perfect reflection of their funky sound, but it also features several gospel singers who provided backup vocals during the band’s Live Lounge performance. Grande seems to be in love with their cover of Thank U, Next just like the rest of us, and she even shared it on her Twitter.

]]>Twist and Shout (The Beatles)
Despite being one of The Beatles biggest hits, they didn’t actually write this song. It was originally written by The Isley Brothers.
Valerie (Amy Winehouse)
Again, this track is one of the most well-known songs sung by Amy Winehouse, but it wasn’t written by her. It was actually written by The Zutons.
I Will Always Love You (Whitney Houston)
The track which defined Whitney Houston’s career was actually written by Dolly Parton.
The Man Who Sold The World (Nirvana)
It’s not often that we would rank Nirvana over David Bowie, but this article is all about exceptions. Their live unplugged cover of the Bowie original is spot on.
Mad World (Gary Jules)
‘Mad World’ was originally by Tears For Fears but Gary Jules and Michael Andrews slowed it down and stripped it back in this superb cover.
Dazed and Confused (Led Zeppelin)
Jake Holmes released this song in 1967 but Led Zeppelin made it famous in 1969.
I Fought The Law (The Clash)
Many bands covered this song but The Clash’s edgy punk cover of this Bobby Fuller Four original is what kicked off their musical careers.
Hallelujah (Jeff Buckley)
Leonard Cohen’s original ‘Hallelujah’ is beautiful but Jeff Beckley’s cover is haunting.
All Along The Watchtower (Jimi Hendrix)
Bob Dylan’s original version is a classic, but Jimi gave it the edge that was missing.
I Need A Hero (The Fairy Godmother from Shrek 2)
This is no disservice to Bonnie Tyler’s iconic original but this cover is iconic.
