]]>We can count on Lady Gaga to put on quite a show every time she hits the stage, and her epic Coachella set was a great interlude for her upcoming tour The Mayhem Ball.
Many of our favorite alternative artists performed at this year’s Coachella, but none impressed us more than Clairo, who emerged as one of the festival’s biggest breakout performers.
Charli XCX brought her biggest hits to the Coachella stage, along with some of the collaborators featured on her latest album Brat, including Lorde, Billie Eilish, Troye Sivan, and Addison Rae.
This year’s Coachella lineup featured several legacy acts, and Missy Elliot’s performance reminded us why she’s one of the biggest hip-hop legends of her generation.
Speaking of legacy acts, the punk-rock icons Green Day made quite a splash with their cathartic Coachella set and stayed true to their rebellious spirit.

]]>This Friday marked the release of numerous new albums, but none of them created more buzz than The Weeknd’s long-awaited record Hurry Up Tomorrow. It’s a collection of 21 brand-new songs, each one amazing in its own right, and we singled out “Cry For Me” as one of the early favorites.
This has also been a pretty epic week for amazing collaborations. We’ve seen many of our favorite indie artists join forces, starting with Sasami and Clairo, whose duet “In Love With A Memory” is the best of both worlds.
James Bay and Jon Batiste partnered up for “Sunshine in the Room”, while Jamie xx and Erykah Badu rocked our world with their unexpected collaboration “F.U.” Indie rock darlings Julien Baker and Torres impressed us with their new duet “Sylvia”.
The rest of our list is equally amazing, and it features brand-new tracks from a wide range of genres, from country to R&B. Stick around to discover new songs by The Lumineers, Cat Burns, Jessie Reyez, Zach Bryan, and Nessa Barrett.

The list of major new album releases doesn’t end there. Cigarettes After S-x impressed us with their new album X’s, OneRepublic returned with Artificial Paradise, Cat Burns released her debut album Early Twenties, while the Afrobeats star Rema rocked our world with Heis.
Pop music is mostly absent from our list this week, but one catchy collaboration managed to sneak in. Kylie Minogue joined forces with Bebe Rexha and Tove Lo for “My Oh My”, proving they’re truly a match made in heaven.

]]>The post Bleachers Drop Star-Studded Music Video for “Alma Mater” appeared first on Hot Pop Today.
]]>Directed by Alex Lockett, the “Alma Mater” visual sees the Bleachers frontman cruising through the streets of New Jersey in the middle of the night. He encounters many dreamlike scenes and colorful characters along the way, including Clairo standing under a bus stop holding a plant and his wife Margaret Qualley crossing the street.
Several shots of Lana Del Rey, who co-wrote this song alongside Antonoff are also scattered throughout the video. She’s one of his most frequent A-list collaborators, and they’ve been working together since her Grammy-nominated album Norman Fu—ing Rockwell!
In an official press release announcing the band’s fourth studio album, Antonoff described “Alma Mater” as “a weird little magic gem where I’m not really sure why all the pieces are coming together, but they are in this really special way to me.”
Bleachers will be released via Dirty Hit on March 8, 2024, and it will feature a total of 14 songs, including the lead single “Modern Girl”.

Nicki Minaj and Kim Petras finally dropped their long-awaited collaboration “Alone”, The Weeknd and Future continued their partnership with “Double Fantasy”, and Snoop Dogg hopped on Bebe Rexha’s “Satellite”.
This week has given us countless epic new tracks, but it’s been pretty slow for album releases. BTS’s Suga aka August D is the only artist expect to make any real impact on the charts with his new solo album D-Day and single “Haegeum”.
Our favorite female vocalists and rappers kept impressing us this week and delivered some new tracks we’ll be listening to on repeat, from Kali Uchis’s “Moonlight” and GloRilla’s “Unh Unh” to Florence and the Machine’s dreamy new track “Mermaids”.
This week’s list of the best new tracks also includes new singles from the British stars Ed Sheeran and Arlo Parks, so check it out and find your next favorite song.
