“I’m thrilled to partner with SiriusXM on my new channel. I can’t wait to welcome listeners into my personal musical universe, sharing my favorite music across all of the genres I love, from classic rock to the latest in country,” said Underwood in a statement.
Scott Greenstein, SiriusXM’s president and chief content officer, described her as “one of country music’s biggest and most multifaceted artists today”, adding it feels truly special to give fans the opportunity to connect with her on a new level through this channel.
Underwood recently finished her Denim & Rhinestones Tour, but she’ll soon return to Las Vegas for her Reflection Residency. She also dropped a surprise single “Out of That Truck” and performed at the CMT Music Awards earlier this year.

]]>Underwood launched her Las Vegas residency back in 2021 at the Resorts World Theatre, which can accommodate around 5,000 people. She was the first artist to perform on this stage and made quite a splash with her 90-minute set, covering the past 15 years of her career.
She took a break from performing in Vegas in recent months to focus on her Denim & Rhinestones Tour, but she’s ready to return to Sin City this summer.
“It’s always nice to come back ‘home’ to Resorts World Las Vegas to continue Reflection. This show is truly a celebration of all my music, and I love having the chance to welcome fans from all over the world who come to see us in Vegas,” Underwood said in a statement.
The new slate of Underwood’s Las Vegas performances will kick off on June 21, and she’ll return to the Resorts World Theatre throughout June, July, September, November, and December. The newly announced shows will take place on December 13, 15, and 16.

“I’m so incredibly grateful to everyone involved with the CMA Awards all these years. It’s hard to imagine topping what we have accomplished together, so I’ve decided that it’s time to pass the hosting torch (at least for now!) to others that will cherish it and honor it as much as I do,” wrote Underwood on Instagram.
The “Cry Pretty” singer ended her announcement on a high note, and said she has many exciting things coming in the new year and beyond.
Her debut book, titled Find Your Path, is set to be released in March, and we’re yet to see if the rest of her new projects are music-related.

]]>Sarah Trahern, CMA chief executive officer, couldn’t wait to share the incredible news with the public and said it’s an honor to welcome these three country superstars to the CMA Awards stage this year.
“In addition to awarding the year’s best and brightest in the genre, The 53rd Annual CMA Awards will celebrate the legacy of women within Country Music, and we couldn’t think of a more dynamic group of women to host the show,” said Trahern in a press release.
Carrie Underwood is no stranger to hosting the Country Music Association Awards since she’s been doing this alongside fellow country singer Brad Paisley since 2008. This will be the first time we’ll get to see her sharing the stage with someone else, and we can’t wait to see what that looks like when the CMA Awards air on ABC on November 13th.

But while the former Nashville Predators captain’s crooning brings his little guy to tears, when mama Carrie starts singing, Jacob calms down!
“Everyone’s a critic,” the 36-year-old country superstar wrote on Instagram.
“The real reason is he was hungry and wanted your food. #notmysinging,” Fisher replied.
Others found the video quite funny as well, including Justin Timberlake, who declared that “This is the greatest thing I’ve seen all year.”

The music video for “Southbound” perfectly reflects the happy-go-lucky sound of this party anthem, but the country star admitted it was pretty difficult to put it together while discussing her latest album Cry Pretty in an interview with CMT last year.
“I don’t know if there was one specific line that was the hardest to write, but there was a song called ‘Southbound,’ that was kind of surprisingly hard to write for being just a fun light song,” admitted Carrie Underwood.

]]>A week ago, the country music superstar released “Cry Pretty,” the first single off her new album, and today she is unveiling the name, release date and cover for her new album of the same name.
Cry Pretty, Carrie’s 6th studio album, will come out on September 14th. In a video released with the announcement, the American Idol champ shared some behind-the-scenes footage from the making of the album, as well as discussed the leading single “Cry Pretty,” saying:
“Sometimes you get together and write a song that is kind of exactly what you’re feeling at that moment, and that was ‘Cry Pretty’ for me. I think ‘Cry Pretty’ sets the tone for the rest of the album, because it’s emotional, and it is real, but there’s also just some incredible musical moments in the song, and I feel like those things are things that go throughout the rest of the album.
“We have a lot of songs on [the album] that are definitely emotional and kind of soulful and real and raw. But there’s so much love and care and heart that has gone into writing these songs, putting music to these songs, and everything has been done in such a careful and loving way.”
She also talked about the writing and recording process and the fact she shoulders some of the production duties.
“Co-producing was … kind of a natural evolution. I had been working with David Garcia on the writing side of things, and we just really hit it off. The first song that we wrote together is on the album, so it was kind of like: ‘I like this guy, [I want to] write with him again.’
“And there’s certain chemistry that comes together when there’s a band there and everybody feeds off of each other. We got a lot of guys that I had worked with before, and some that I hadn’t and everybody brought it.”

“One of the silver linings for me in this healing process is the time I’ve gotten to spend with Mike and Isaiah. I’ve been calling it ‘forced relaxation.’ Sometimes I think things happen in order to make us slow down,” she writes.
Carrie also made use of her time at home to write new music and even co-produce her new album, telling fans:
“I’ve been in the studio writing and singing a TON, but I’ve also been able to be creative in a way that I’ve never been before, which has been very fulfilling and empowering. While I was writing last year, I met a writer/producer named David Garcia. We hit it off in a big way and I’m excited to say that we are co-producing my album together.
“I’ve always been lucky to have a voice in the writing and recording process, but this is the first time I am this involved in the production of my music. While Carrie has yet to reveal the title or release date for her new album, she did release the first single off it, a song called “Cry Pretty,” which she wrote with Hillary Lindsey, Liz Rose, and Lori McKenna, who also write under the name Love Junkies.
“I joined one of their writing sessions last year to see if we could come up with some magic…and we did!” Carrie writes. “The title refers to when emotions take over and you just can’t hold them back.
