]]>“Please Me” is not the first project Cardi has worked on with Mars. Last year, the duo did a remix of Bruno’s “Finesse” and performed the song at the Grammys together last week. She was also expected to open Bruno’s North American tour last year but she pulled out after having a baby.
The brand-new song was produced by Mars and his crew, the Stereotypes. Its lyrics talks about Bruno pleading for some love from Cardi before she replies that they get onto the dance floor before taking things to the next level.
After her single with Mars, Cardi plans to work on her new album which should come out any time this year. While giving an interview last year, Cardi said she hoped the album will be out the same period Invasion of Privacy came out—on April.

“I thought that after giving birth to my daughter that six weeks would be enough time for me to recover mentally and physically,” Cardi B wrote on Twitter. “I also thought that I’d be able to bring her with me on tour, but I think that I underestimated this whole mommy thing. Not only am I just not ready physically, I’m not ready to leave my baby behind since the doctors explained it’s not healthy for her to be on the road.”
