]]>Lana Del Rey will make her Reading & Leeds Festival debut next year, but she’s no stranger to performing at iconic UK Festivals. She hit the Glastonbury stage earlier this year, but her set caused a lot of controversy after being cut short because she arrived late.
Blink-182 are heading to Reading & Leeds as part of the promo for their recently released comeback album One More Time… It comes only a year after making a surprise appearance at Coachella 2023, serving as a replacement for the headliner Frank Ocean.
The upcoming Reading & Leeds will also mark the debut of the English producer and DJ Fred Again, while the rest of the headlines are somewhat of R&L veterans. Gerry Cinnamon performed at the festival in 2021, Catfish and the Bottlemen headlined it that same year, along with Liam Gallagher, who’s also returning as headliner this year.
Reading & Leeds will return to Little John’s Farm in Reading and Bramham Park near Wetherby from August 21-25, 2024.

]]>One More Time… topped the charts this week with 125,000 equivalent album units earned, only 5,000 behind Drake’s For All the Dogs in the No. 2 spot. The Rolling Stones’ Hackney Diamonds was right behind in the No. 3 spot with 101,000 equivalent album units.
One More Time… largely owes its amazing week to the traditional album sales, with 101,000 units earned in pure album sales. It also earned 23,000 SEA units (equaling 30.19 million on-demand official streams) and 1,000 TEA units.
One More Time… marks Blink-182’s first album with the classic lineup since Tom DeLonge left the band in 2015. After several personal tragedies each band member faced over the years, they decided to let their lingering arguments go and DeLonge eventually re-joined the drummer Travis Barker and vocalist/bassist Mark Hoppus.
One More Time… hit the shelves on October 20, and produced singles “Edging”, “One More Time” / “More Than You Know”, “Dance with Me”, “Fell in Love”, and “You Don’t Know What You’ve Got”.

Tems has given us her first single this year with “Me & U”, potently giving us a glimpse of her highly-anticipated debut studio album. Blackpink’s Jennie went back to working on some solo music, and impressed us with her new single “You & Me”.

]]>Bassist/vocalist Mark Hoppus, guitarist/vocalist Tom DeLonge, and drummer Travis Barker put Blink-182 on the map, but they haven’t released a new album together since Neighborhoods in 2011. We’ve been expecting them to reunite ever since DeLonge joined them for a single “Edging” after a seven-year hiatus—and they’re finally ready to share their comeback album with the world.
One More Time… will feature a total of 17 songs, that “capture the band at the top of their game, layering in themes of tragedy, triumph, and most importantly, brotherhood”, according to Blink-182’s official release.
All 17 tracks were entirely produced by drummer Travis Barker, who said that the title single was inspired by the tragic circumstances that brought them together.
“I always knew that the brotherhood wouldn’t ever deteriorate or wouldn’t be there. I really feel like Blink is us three, and as soon as we accept that and we don’t settle for anything less than that, I just think that’s the future,” he explained in an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe.
One More Time… will be released on October 20 via Columbia Records.

]]>Barker took to Twitter on April 30 to write, “album will be finished before we leave on tour.” This tweet comes only a day later after he wrote, “2 Coachella weekends in a row with an unhealed finger. Recorded last 4 songs on the album while I still had stitches. Tour in 4 days.”
Blink-182 is embarking on the world tour on May 4, and they’ll kick things off with a concert at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota. This basically means their new album is already done, and it’s safe to expect they’ll perform some of the new songs on tour.
Barker’s album update comes shortly after guitarist/vocalist Tom DeLonge hyped it up on social media.
“This is the best album we’ve ever made. Buckle up. I’m personally tripping and so proud of what we have created TOGETHER. As one unified force of fun, eternal youth, and most of all – close friends,” he wrote on Instagram.
Blink-182’s upcoming tour will mark the band’s thirtieth anniversary, and it includes a total of 90 concerts across North America, Latin America, Europe, and Oceania.

]]>The post Blink-182 Confirmed as Late Addition to the 2023 Coachella Lineup appeared first on Hot Pop Today.
]]>Coachella’s official social media team made a sneaky announcement of Blink-182’s appearance on Thursday by simply sharing the festival’s schedule and writing “Take off your pants and jacket” in the caption. This is, of course, the name of the band’s seminal 2001 studio album.
By going through the schedule, you can spot Blink-182 being slotted to play the 6:30 pm show on Friday (April 14) at Sahara Tent.
The band’s frontman Tom DeLonge later confirmed the news via Twitter.
Blink-182 reunited its founding lineup of DeLonge, Mark Hoppus, and Travis Baker, back in September while announcing a world tour. The trio last played together in 2014 before DeLonge opted to quit the group in early 2015. Hoppus and Baker later recruited Alkaline Trio frontman Matt Skiba as his replacement and recorded two albums, 2016’s California and 2019’s Nine.
The band initially planned to start its reunion tour in March, but it had to be postponed after Baker ended up suffering an injury during rehearsals. They are now set to kick off the trip in May with a show in St. Paul, Minneapolis.

]]>The post Blink-182’s New Album Will Feature Grimes, Lil Uzi Vert, and Pharrell appeared first on Hot Pop Today.
]]>Drummer Travis Barker revealed on Rock This podcast with Allison Hagendorf that the band’s follow-up to NINE features those artists and that it is “60 per cent done” after revealing a month ago that the album would be arriving in 2021.
“There’s like a song with Grimes right now that’s really, really cool that I love. There’s a song with Uzi that’s really, really cool that we did with Pharrell,” Barker said about the album’s collaborations.
But don’t expect the album to be a rap one—according to Barker, the band won’t stray far from its roots as a punk-rock band.
“I don’t think Blink will ever be anything but a pop-punk band,” he continued. “I mean, that’s who we are. And I feel like our fans have kind of journeyed with us when we’ve done songs like “Miss You” or ballads like “Adam’s Song”.”
