Back in January, Bikini Kill announced they are embarking on a tour with original members Kathleen Hanna, Tobi Vail, and Kathi Wilcox taking part in the reunion. Original guitarist Billy Karren was replaced by Erica Dawn Lyle.
Although the group was originally scheduled to play only four shows in the United States, three more were added later due to large ticket demand.
Following the US leg of the tour, the band is heading to the United Kingdom, where they’ll play two shows on June 10th and June 11th at London’s O2 Academy. British punkers Big Joanie will act as a support for these shows, while The Tuts and Childs Pose will be opening acts.

Bikini Kill formed in 1990 in Olympia, Washington and managed to set themselves apart from other bands from that period thanks to their radical feminist lyrics and fiery performances. Between 1990 and 1997, they released two studio albums, Pussy Whipped and Reject All American, with both of them receiving positive reviews from the critics.
