It’s somewhat of an Oscar tradition to have all the best original song nominees performed at the ceremony, and the Academy will be honoring it this year. Billie Eilish, Becky G, and Ryan Gosling will bring the nominated songs to LA’s Dolby Theatre in less than two weeks.

Eilish is the front-runner to win the best original song with “What Was I Made For?” from Barbie, and she’ll deliver another rendition of this moving ballad at the Oscars ceremony. She previously won a Grammy and a Golden Globe for co-writing this song with her brother and frequent collaborator Finneas O’Connell.

“I’m Just Ken” from Barbie is also a strong contender for this award, and we’ll get to hear it live during the Oscars. Ryan Gosling, who performed this viral hit in the original film, will bring the Kenergy to the Academy Awards alongside Mark Ronson.

Becky G will take the stage to perform Diane Warren’s “The Fire Inside” from Flamin’ Hot, while Jon Batiste will deliver a rendition of “It Never Went Away” from American Symphony. They’ll be joined by Scott George and the Osage Singers, performing “Wahzhazhe (A Song For My People)” from Killers of the Flower Moon.

The 2024 Academy Awards will return to the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on March 10, with Jimmy Kimmel hosting the show.

Tyler, the Creator also surprised us with a new edition of his last album titled Call Me If You Get Lost: The Estate Sale, which features several new songs, including “Sorry Not Sorry”.

This week has also been great for fans of hip-hop, K-pop, and Latin music, with Quavo, Becky G, and Blackpink’s Jisooo making it to our list.

This year’s MTV Europe Music Awards are taking place in Spain, so it’s only fitting to have one of the biggest Latin stars hosting them. Becky G has been just announced as the host of the upcoming ceremony next month.

The MTV EMAs will take place at the FIBES Conference & Exhibition Centre of Seville on November 3rd, and Becky G can’t wait to make her way to this city to “host the year’s hottest global music celebration”.

Bruce Gillmer, global head of music and talent for MTV International, described the young singer as an “exceptional multifaceted talent who’s no stranger to the global stage” and said they can’t wait to see her lighting up the MTV EMA stage in Seville.

In addition to hosting the ceremony, Becky G will be competing for the Best Pop award against the likes of Ariana Grande, Camila Cabello, and Halsey. Grande actually led the list of MTV Europe Music Awards nominations with a total of seven nods and was closely followed by Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X, and Shawn Mendes, who received six nominations each.

YouTube recently revealed its list of the most viewed videos of 2018 and no – Thank U, Next didn’t make the cut. Spanish-language tracks led the way and took eight out of ten spots on the list!

The domination of Spanish songs is nothing new as they also took six out of ten spots last year. We’re not saying Luis Fonsi’s smash-hit Despacito is the one to blame, but it’s still the most viewed YouTube video of all time, so do the math.

This song obviously started the craze for a very specific sound, and the world is still going crazy for it in 2018. Te Boté remix took the no. 1 at this year’s list thanks to 1.45 billion views it generated since being released in April.

Take a look at full list of 10 viral music video of 2018 and see if your favorites made the cut!

Te Boté Remix – Casper, Nio García, Darell, Nicky Jam, Bad Bunny, Ozuna – 1.45 billion

Nicky Jam feat. J. Balvin, “X (EQUIS)” – 1.40 billion

Maroon 5 feat. Cardi B, “Girls Like You” – 1.39 billion

Daddy Yankee, “Dura” – 1.19 billion

Ozuna & Romeo Santos, “El Farsante” (Remix) – 1.11 billion

Becky G, Natti Natasha, “Sin Pijama” – 1.11 billion

El Chombo feat. Cutty Ranks, “Dame Tu Cosita” – 947 million

Drake, “God’s Plan” – 890 million

Reik feat. Ozuna & Wisin, “Me Niego” – 736 million
