]]>Rocklahoma welcomed some pretty amazing performers to the Rockin Red Dirt Ranch in Pryor, Oklahoma over the years, and they’ll continue that tradition this summer. The three-day rock festival will run between August 30 and September 1 this time around, and its lineup is as epic as it gets.
The headlining spots have been reserved for Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, and Slipknot, and they’ll be in pretty good company. Evanescence, A Day to Remember, Lamb of God, Skillet, Mastodon, and Halestorm are also among the top-billed artists at this year’s Rocklahoma.
Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale can’t wait to hit the Rocklahoma stage this summer, and she described the iconic festival as “a call to arms, a celebration of not only music but also of our differences and what makes us all the same.”
Anthrax will also perform at Rocklahoma before heading to Europe in the fall, and they’ll be joined by Clutch, Kerry King, Coal Chamber, Bad Wolves, and Kim Dracula, among others.

]]>Taylor Swift is the mastermind when it comes to surprising her fans, and she celebrated the start of The Eras Tour by dropping four new songs. “All Of The Girls You Loved Before” made it to our list because it’s the only one we haven’t heard before.
It was also a huge week for Hozier, who celebrated his birthday by giving us a gift—his new EP Eat Your Young. It features three songs, each better than the last, but the title track created the most buzz.
This week also marked a huge comeback for the metal legends Avenged Sevenfold. They dropped their first single in five years titled “Nobody” and used it to tease the release of their eighth studio album, Life Is but a Dream….
Our list of best new songs of the week also includes new releases from Lana Del Rey, Nothing But Thieves, Princess Nokia, and Lewis Capaldi so check them out and pick your favorite!

]]>Louder Than Life takes place in Louisville, Kentucky, United States and it attracted 170,000 visitors to the Kentucky Exposition Center last year. It’s organized by Danny Wimmer Presents, and their founder can’t wait to welcome thousands of rock music fans back to Kentucky this year.
“The fans spoke and we listened! The Foo Fighters, Green Day, Tool, and Avenged Sevenfold were our most fan-requested bands for 2023, so being able to deliver this massive lineup to them is so special… It’s all happening in Louisville this September. Can’t wait to see you there!” said Wimmer in a statement.
This year’s edition of Louder Than Life is taking place between September 21 and 24, and its lineup is as epic as it gets. In addition to the three headliners, the massive lineup will also include Weezer, Rancid, Tool, Godsmack, Queens of the Stone Age, Limp Bizkit, Pantera, Turnstile, and Falling in Reverse.

]]>“Nobody” is the band’s first new song since the release of “Mad Hatter” in 2018, and it serves as the lead single on their upcoming LP Life Is but a Dream… The album will include a total of 11 tracks, largely inspired by the writing and philosophy of Albert Camus.
The band’s press release described “Nobody” as “6 minutes of tension, groove and dynamics”, adding it “twists and turns beyond conventional songwriting and leans in on discomfort before letting go.”
Its stop-motion music video was directed by Chris Hopewell, and it’s supposed to capture “a stunning and powerful journey exploring the dichotomy between life and death, love and war, and follows the main character through an existential crisis.”
Life Is but a Dream… will hit the shelves on June 2, and it will mark Avenged Sevenfold’s first album since The Stage in 2016, marking the longest gap between their studio albums.
