]]>What Happened to the Heart? will be Aurora’s most personal and cathartic album to date, and it’s hitting the shelves on June 7. She teased her new sound with several singles leading up to the album’s release, including “Your Blood”, “The Conflict of the Mind” and “Some Type of Skin”.
Aurora’s press release describes her new album as “a poignant and introspective musical journey that explores the loss of spiritual connection in modern society, the healing power of vulnerability, and the call to ignite change through reuniting the heart with politics and personal growth.”
Aurora joined forces with a long list of notable producers while recording her new album between Norway, Germany, London, and Los Angeles, including Ane Brun, Matias Tellez, Tom Rowlands, Chris Greatti, Dave Hamelin, and Magnus Skylstad.
She’ll promote the release of What Happened to the Heart? by embarking on a tour across the UK and Europe this September and October, which will kick off with a concert in Milan, Italy on September 18.

]]>This week marked the release of Olivia Rodrigo’s Guts (Spilled), the long-awaited deluxe edition of her latest studio album. This album gave us five amazing new songs, but “Obsessed” is shaping up to be another instant hit in Rodrigo’s impressive discography.
Metro Boomin and Future also made it to our list with “Like That” ft. Kendrick Lamar from their collaborative album We Don’t Trust You. Speaking of amazing collaborations, Shakira’s “Puntería” ft. Cardi B was released as the last single from her new album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran.
If you’re a fan of indie music, don’t fret because we also made room for some of the favorite alternative artists on this week’s list. Kick things off by listening to Fletcher’s new album In Search of the Antidote, including our favorite song “Pretending”.
Hozier also returned to our list this week, along with Aurora, Girl in Red, Sabrina Carpenter, Maggie Rogers, and many more amazing artists whose songs deserve a spot on your playlist.

]]>“The Conflict of the Mind” explores the idea we should talk to our loved ones about our pain before it’s too late because opening up could lead us to a version of ourselves we thought was gone.
“I tend to isolate myself when I’m in pain. And with time, I’ve learned that I’ve deprived the people around me of the great honor of being there for someone you love. Deep in there, beneath all the darkness, there is beauty,” said Aurora in a statement.
The Norwegian singer conveys this idea with the song’s haunting chorus, “Only when I see you cry/ I feel conflicted in my mind/ It fills my heart up and it breaks me at the very same time/When you open up the gates for me.”
“The Conflict of the Mind” was released as Aurora’s first single of the year and the first new music she shared with the world since “Your Blood” in 2023. These songs will most likely be featured on her fourth studio album, the follow-up to her last LP The Gods We Can Touch.

]]>Our favorite artists are slowly going back to sharing their new albums with the world, and Green Day’s Saviors is definitely this week’s most exciting new release. They teased it with several singles, and ’90s-inspired “Bobby Sox” might be one of the very best.
This week has also been pretty epic for fans of alternative sound, with several of our favorite bands sharing new music with the world. Everyone from Bleachers and IDLES to Cage the Elephant and The Libertines have been busy in the studio in recent months, and they’re finally ready to show us what they’ve been up to.
Several indie-leaning collaborations also hit the shelves this week. Noah Kahan joined forces with Sam Fender for the new version of “Homesick”, while Mumford & Sons partnered up with Pharrell Williams for “Good People”, their first single in years.
