“I don’t know how I’m writing this right now… It’s so many emotions. Just super-thankful to all the fans and supporters. Me and Drake been working to make something so crazy for the kids. It’s dope that one of our illest collaborations just went No. 1. I just want to thank him and the whole OVO fam for everything. And love to Skrillex!” said Scott.
“Sicko Mode” ended up dethroning Ariana Grande’s break-up anthem “Thank U, Next” and she showed Scott some love after hearing of his latest accomplishment. Some of her followers expected her to throw some shade at him, but she said there’s nothing for you to do but celebrate when an artist you’ve been stanning finally gets the recognition they deserved.

Travis Scott also discussed details about his collaborations on Astroworld. The album featured several guests including Drake, Frank Ocean, The Weeknd, and Tame Impala’s frontman Kevin Parker.
Scott was especially impressed by Parker. “He really came in the studio and didn’t say s**t,” said the 26-year-old rapper about Parker. “He’s ill. I think he’s a genius.”
Astroworld is slowly becoming a critics’ favorite, with some media like NME giving it a perfect rating. The record received praise for its guest appearances and infectious melodies alongside Scotts’ maturity.
These reviews are more than encouraging, considering the fact that Travis Scott’s last album Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho, a collaboration with Quavo from 2017, didn’t get the warmest welcome.
