]]>Velvet will be Lambert’s first album in five years, and he already gave us a taste of things to come with several previously released singles, including “New Eyes” and “Believe”. The entire LP will feature 13 tracks, and it’s scheduled to be released on March 20th.
Despite his busy touring schedule with Queen this year all across Asia, Oceania, and Europe, Lambert found the time for a couple of solo concerts. He secured a mini Las Vegas residency at the Venetian Theatre in April, before headlining Manchester Pride in September.
“I am so excited to perform at Manchester Pride for the very first time! Something I have always wanted to do! I keep hearing that LGBTQ + representation is on fire over there and I can’t wait to be part of it and see you soon!” said Adam Lambert in a statement.

]]>The tribute concert, taking place tonight, will be streamed live from Avicii’s home town of Stockholm on his official YouTube channel. A 30-piece band will perform alongside 19 artist who agreed to participate, including Rita Ora, Aloe Blacc and Adam Lambert. Several of Avicii’s fellow DJs, including David Guetta and Kygo, will also perform.
Tim Bergling, known by his stage name Avicii, passed away last April, after struggling with mental illness. His family started the Tim Bergling Foundation in his honor, focusing on mental health awareness and suicide prevention, and all the net profits of the concert will benefit the foundation.
“We are grateful that his friends, producers, artists and colleagues are coming to Stockholm to help. They have all expressed a sincere interest and desire to engage in efforts to stem the tide of mental illness and lend their support to our work with the Tim Bergling Foundation,” said Bergling’s father Klas in a press release.

]]>This retro video, directed by Miles and AJ, is only a first chapter of a multi-part short film and serves as an introduction to Lambert’s upcoming LP. The entire film will lead up to the release of his new album, and the first piece of the puzzle perfectly reflects its general vibe.
“I wanted my first single to reflect my current state of mind and to bring listeners into a romantic, earthy vibe. ‘New Eyes’ is a love letter to innocence and to finding new passions,” said Adam Lambert in a statement.
The singer’s fans won’t have to wait for long to hear this song live. He’s set to perform it during an upcoming episode of American Idol, alongside his previously released track “Feel Something”.

“Keith Urban personally requested Post Malone for a duet on ‘Baby What You Want Me to Do,’ a section of his band were just casually playing together on stage,” he said. “When I asked Post Malone about performing it, he said, ‘Oh year, the Jimmy Reed song.”
Don asked J.LO to sing Heartbreak Hotel and the part will recreate ELVIS singing in front of glimmering neon lights that spelled out his name. Carrie Underwood and Yolanda Adams will play ‘It’s Now or Never,’ the gospel song by Josh Groban. John Legend will perform A Little Less Conversation while Lambert will sing Blue Suede Shoes.
