]]>The post Dolly Parton Returning to Host ACM Awards Alongside Garth Brooks appeared first on Hot Pop Today.
]]>The country legend Parton hosted the Academy of Country Music Awards on several occasions in the past, both solo and with fellow co-hosts Jimmie Allen and Gabby Barrett. She’s excited to do it with Brooks this time around because they’ve wanted to work together for a long time.
“We’ve always admired each other musically and as people and how we handle our business. So this is a great thrill for me. I think the fans are going to enjoy seeing us together, ‘cause Lord knows he’s got fans and I got a few,” Parton told Billboard.
This will mark the first hosting duty for Brooks, but he’s no stranger to taking the ACM Awards stage. He collected 22 awards at this ceremony in the past, including the record-setting six trophies for entertainer of the year.
Parton and Brooks will hit the ACM Awards stage on May 11 at the Ford Center in Frisco, Texas, and the list of nominees is yet to be announced.
