The Academy of Country Music Awards are returning to Texas next month, and they finally shared this year’s list of nominees. Luke Combs is leading the way with an impressive eight nods, but Megan Moroney and Morgan Wallen are the next ones in line with six each.

ACM Awards are one of the year’s most anticipated ceremonies with the fans of country music, and this year’s show is shaping up to be amazing. Dolly Parton is returning to host the live show, and she’ll be joined by equally amazing co-host—Garth Brooks.

The country legend Parton hosted the Academy of Country Music Awards on several occasions in the past, both solo and with fellow co-hosts Jimmie Allen and Gabby Barrett. She’s excited to do it with Brooks this time around because they’ve wanted to work together for a long time.

“We’ve always admired each other musically and as people and how we handle our business. So this is a great thrill for me. I think the fans are going to enjoy seeing us together, ‘cause Lord knows he’s got fans and I got a few,” Parton told Billboard.

This will mark the first hosting duty for Brooks, but he’s no stranger to taking the ACM Awards stage. He collected 22 awards at this ceremony in the past, including the record-setting six trophies for entertainer of the year.

Parton and Brooks will hit the ACM Awards stage on May 11 at the Ford Center in Frisco, Texas, and the list of nominees is yet to be announced.

Keith Urban took home the Entertainer of the year award, becoming only the second artist born outside the US to win this prestigious honor. He was also nominated for the best male artist of the year, but lost to Thomas Rhett.

Kacey Musgraves came out victorious in two major categories. She ended Miranda Lambert’s nine-year lock in the Best female artist category, to win this award for the first time. Musgraves also won the Album of the year award for Golden Hour, shortly after winning this same award at the Grammys.

Academy of Country Music honored some of the best country artists at the ACM Awards this weekend. Dan + Shay topped the list of winners with a total of three wins (Dou of the year, best song and best single), and Kacey Musgraves was very close with two.

This year’s Academy of Country Music Awards took place on April 7 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, with country legend Reba McEntire serving as a host.
