]]>Imagine Dragons made an epic comeback with the genre-defying single “Eyes Closed” earlier this month – and there’s more where that came from! They officially announced the release of their sixth studio album Loom, which will be released on June 28 and feature a total of ten songs.
Imagine Dragons also shared a cover of their new album, which perfectly sums up its themes, according to the band’s frontman Dan Reynolds.
“You can’t really tell if it’s a sunset or a sunrise, and then there are two people kind of separated standing in front of it. That really kind of sums it up thematically when I listen to it, Is the beginning of something new, or is this the end of something?” Reynolds told The Associated Press.
Imagine Dragons are planning to celebrate the release of Loom by taking it on the road this summer. Their biggest North American headlining tour to date will kick off in Camden, NJ on June 20, and they’re planning to wrap it up with a concert at Los Angeles’ iconic Hollywood Bowl on October 22.

Cher was nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for the first time this year, after publicly calling out the organization for never taking her into consideration. Just a few months ago, she told Kelly Clarkson, “I wouldn’t be in it now if they gave me a million dollars.”
Cher is yet to publicly address her induction, but Mary J. Blige and Ozzy Osbourne are among the honorees who expressed gratitude to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They’ll be inducted alongside Dave Matthews Band, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Kool & The Gang, and A Tribe Called Quest.
The 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on October 19, and it will air live on Disney+.

]]>Deftones hit the Outdoor Theatre stage at Coachella this past weekend, and Moreno dropped hints about their new music while chatting with KROQ.
“We have a whole record recorded all musically. And it’s pretty much my job right now to finish up the vocals… We’re not really in a rush. We want it to be great. I think that’s most important. But it is coming, and, yeah – it’s really good,” said Moreno.
Despite already finishing up most of the album, Moreno said they still don’t have “a definite timeframe” for the album’s release. He also said they’re really excited about what they’ve been working on and described their new sound as “invigorated”.
Deftones haven’t dropped a new album since Ohms in 2020, which produced singles “Ohms”, “Genesis”, and “Ceremony”. It was met with critical acclaim and received a nomination for best rock performance at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards. It debuted at No. 5 in both the UK and the US and hit the top ten in several countries around the world.

]]>Jon Bon Jovi recently opened up about his struggle to sing live after undergoing surgery on his vocal cords in 2022 in a conversation with The Sunday Times. His voice hasn’t been the same ever since, and he said that he’s “done” performing live if he can’t go back to his old self, while also adding he’s “good with that”.
This isn’t the first time he dropped hints about his potential retirement from touring. The rock legend previously told The Times there’s a huge difference between performing in a studio and going out on the road.
“We have just recorded a new album. I sing in vocal therapy every day. But I want to perform for two and a half hours a night, four nights a week – and I know how good I can be, so if I can’t be that guy… put it this way, I don’t ever need to be the fat Elvis,” said Bon Jovi.
Despite not planning to tour anytime soon, the members of Bon Jovi are getting ready to give their fans some new music. The band’s next album Forever will be released on June 7 via Island.

]]>It’s been five years since the release of Bring Me the Horizon’s last studio album Amo in 2019, but they followed up its release with Post Human: Survival Horror. This is one of the four projects they wanted to release under the Post Human moniker, and Post Human: Nex Gen will serve as its spiritual successor.
The British band teased its release by sharing a video of a futuristic robot, which ends with a cryptic message – “It’s time for a new era. Initializing NeX GEn.”
“You cling to your virtual identity as if it were your very soul. Pathetic. I’m here to wipe away the detritus of your existence. All these thoughts, these memories, they are but a fleeting echo in an endless void. And just like that, you cease to exist in a digital realm,” says the robot in the video.
Post Human: Nex Gen still doesn’t have an official release date, after being pushed from August 2023 to this year. Bring Me the Horizon released several singles expected to be featured on this album, most recently “Darkside” and “Kool-Aid”.

]]>The music video for the band’s latest song was directed by Andrew Donoho, and it looks straight out of Indian Jones movies. It sees the frontman Dan Reynolds embarking on an epic adventure in an ancient dreamlike world, but it’s later revealed these were just visions he was having after a car crash.
“Eyes Closed” is one of Imagine Dragons’ most experimental songs to date, and it blends together the elements of rap, rock, pop, and dubstep. Reynolds revealed its lyrics came together after the band took some time off the road, allowing him to go back to the sonic places that originally brought him the most joy.
“The world looks much different after being a band for more than a decade. But some things will always remain the same. It’s finding that right balance of nostalgia and freshness that brings me the most joy in the studio. We had a lot of fun making this one and hope you enjoy it too,” said Reynolds in a statement.

The headlining spots have been reserved for Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, and Slipknot, and they’ll be in pretty good company. Evanescence, A Day to Remember, Lamb of God, Skillet, Mastodon, and Halestorm are also among the top-billed artists at this year’s Rocklahoma.

Anthrax will also perform at Rocklahoma before heading to Europe in the fall, and they’ll be joined by Clutch, Kerry King, Coal Chamber, Bad Wolves, and Kim Dracula, among others.
