The indie band are currently on their U.S. tour and were due to play a show at Colorado’s Red Rock on May 1. Unfortunately, the band were caught in a snowstorm and were forced to cancel on the day.

“Tonight’s 1975 concert at Red Rocks is canceled due to road closures across Interstate 80,” a statement from their label, Dirty Hit, declared. “The 1975 and all their equipment are stuck on Interstate 80 and unable to reach Red Rock to perform tonight.

“The band love playing at Red Rocks and are gutted to not be able to make the show this evening due to the adverse weather conditions. They’ll be back as soon as they can to make up for it.”

Frontman Matt Healy shared the statement on Twitter and added: “I’m really gutted we can’t play Red Rocks tonight we love it there so much.”

The video will be for their single ‘Radio’, which will feature on their first album since 2009.

That said, Rammenstein previously told Guitar World that the new album would be different to what fans are used to. They said: “It’s not too sterile, not too clean. It has a lot of life and energy in it, but it’s not all angry. The music is more than that. It’s different for Rammstein. You might even say it’s fun to listen to.”

The veterans made a return in March with ”Can’t Deny Me,” which is the first single from their upcoming 11th studio album. But if you are a fan of them, you probably will not be hearing much from them over the next few months.

During an interview with Kyle Meredith, bassist Jeff Ament highlighted that the band will be taking their time in order to produce something good.

He said that the band needs “a good solid six-to-eight weeks carved out where we’re just recording all these ideas that we have.” That likely won’t happen until the fall, as the band will be busy touring over the next several months.

“The one thing we have working against us is the upcoming tour, the other thing we have working against us is it takes three or four months to do a vinyl version of any record,” he said.

“2019 is probably safe to say” when it comes to a release date for the album, he added.

Swedish techno producer and DJ, Adam Beyer, took on the task to play great music on both days of the festival, fresh of his EP Capsule. Another two-day treat comes in shape and sound of Carl Cox, who will be properly motivated to show that the rumors about his retirement are pure speculations. Russian DJ superstar Nina Kraviz will be there on the first day accompanied by names like Mirella Kroes, Len Faki and Ricardo Villalobos. On the second day of Awakenings Festival, get ready for Dax J, Chris Liebing, Marcel Dettmann, Drumcomplex & Roel Salemink and much more.

There will be eight stages on the festival, Area W_, V_, C_ and B_ being open air and Area A_, X_, Y_ and Z_ being tent stages.
