]]>The album will be his sixth and succeeds 2018’s Scorpion. Drake made the announcement on Instagram with a post that looks to be the album’s cover. He captioned the post, “Certified Lover Boy September 3.”
Certified Lover Boy was originally supposed to be released back in January 2021, but it was postponed due to an unspecified surgery.
Drake added a new verse to “Betrayal” on Trippie Redd’s album earlier this month, which may be poking fun at West. “All these fools I’m beefin’ that I barely know/ Forty-five, forty-four (Burned out), let it go/ Ye ain’t changin’ shit for me, it’s set in stone,” the verse goes.
Just last week, Drake released a teaser for the album’s release. The teaser was shown during the ESPN show SportsCenter and it showed college football that was interrupted by a figure holding a sign reading, “CLB September 3.”

]]>During American Idol’s Hollywood Week duets episode, after two of the contestants had some weird vibes, Perry said, “you guys are both on the same team. Don’t forget about that.”
She later huddled up with fellow judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan and reflected on what Swift and her could do after finally ending their well-known feud.
“Can you imagine, if Taylor and I worked together, what we could do?” she whispered.
The singers had a longstanding feud which they ended in 2019 when Perry had a surprise appearance in Swift’s video “You Need to Calm Down”. Back in May 2020, Perry hinted at the possibility of a collab, saying she was “always open” for the opportunity in the future.

]]>His last album was 2017’s The Search For Everything, which included the songs “Love On The Weekend”, “Still Feel Like Your Man”, and “In The Blood”.
Mayer revealed the news in a TikTok post. “My album is recorded, mixed and mastered,” the text on Mayer’s video said. “I’ve just been chilling and sharing it with friends for the past couple of months.”
In the video itself, Mayer repeats the phrase “I think I’m gonna drop a clip of the single”. The clip still hasn’t been published.
It’s been four years since Mayer’s last studio album and during that time he’s been releasing music. In 2018, he released the platinum-selling “New Light” and in 2019, he released “I Guess I Just Feel Like” and “Carry Me Away”. He also teamed up with Khalid in 2019 for “Outta My Head” and last year he collaborated with Leon Bridges for “Inside Friend”.
Just last week at the 63rd annual Grammys, Mayer shared the stage with Maren Morris to perform her hit “The Bones”.

]]>The post Coachella Music Festival Moving to 2022 appeared first on Hot Pop Today.
]]>This move is the fourth time the dates for Coachella have been rescheduled. The festival was first moved from April to October 2020 and then to April 2021 and then to October 2021.
Sources said the festival has been postponed due to the pandemic, even though many promoters and live-entertainment companies are planning for a partial resumption of touring to start in late summer and fall. Coachella usually sells out of its 125,000 tickets per day and over 100,000 people traveling and gathering in a single location is problematic for COVID-19.
Even though the event would have been months away in October, preparations for the event would need to start ASAP, which presents challenges for the event.
This rescheduling doesn’t mean that other festivals scheduled for fall won’t happen because many states have less strict COVID protocols than California and venues in Texas and Florida have concerts scheduled for spring.
“There’s a big difference between having two weekend of Coachella in California and throwing a country festival in Florida,” one source told Variety.

]]>The show wakes place tonight, after being pushed back from its original end of January spot, due to the pandemic.
Grammy producer Ben Winston, who worked on the awards show for the first time, told the Los Angeles Times that Beyoncé chose not to perform at the ceremony.
“It’s unfortunate because she’s such a big part of the Recording Academy,” he said. “We absolutely wish we had her onstage.”
Winston also said that another star, which he didn’t name, turned down an offer to perform.
“Because she was like, ‘I got snubbed three years ago, and I’m still annoyed about it.’” Winston said he told her: “Right, but you know that’s nothing to do with me? She said, ‘I don’t know—it sort of is, isn’t it?’”
Beyoncé goes into the night leading with nine nominations, including Record of The Year and Song of the Year for “Black Parade”, and Record of the Year for her “Savage Remix” collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion.

]]>During her cover story interview with Vogue she talked about the possibility of retiring from the music industry.
“It’s hard to keep doing music when people don’t necessarily take you seriously. I’ve had moments where I’ve been like, ‘What’s the point? Why do I keep doing this?’ ‘Lose You to Love Me’ I felt was the best song I’ve ever released, and for some people it still wasn’t enough. I think there are a lot of people who enjoy my music, and for that I’m so thankful, for that I keep going, but I think the next time I do an album it’ll be different. I want to give it one last try before I maybe retire music.”
Lose You to Love Me from her third album Rare is her only song to reach No. 1 on Billboard 100.
Gomez talked about wanting to put her efforts into acting. She’s currently filming the Hulu series Only Murders in the Building with Steve Martin and Martin Short. She’s also set to star in In the Shadow of the Mountain biopic and she’s producing the horror thriller Dollhouse.
