The group announced they are releasing a special reissue of their sophomore album De Stijl, which will feature some enticing content. The reissue, titled “The Accompaniment to De Stijl: The White Stripes’ Sophomore Album” will be available as part of the Third Man Records subscription service.

According to the press release, besides the original album, the set will contain double vinyl that will feature previously unreleased recordings and rare live performances. There will be alternate versions of the familiar songs as well as covers including AC/DC’s “Let There Be Rock” and “Dog Eat Dog.” Extra content will include a booklet accompanied by handwritten lyrics.

“Only recently discovered in the basement of Stripes’ archivist, Ben Blackwell, these recordings, many with alternate and unused lyrics, were completely forgotten by White, yet form a pivotal foundation and structure on which the De Stijl album would build from,” said the record company of the release.

The White Stripes previously released the concert film of their final performance together as well as 20^th Anniversary Box Set.
