]]>The Dillinger Escape Plan’s reunion will feature original singer Dimitri Minakakis, founding guitarist Ben Weinman, and longtime members Liam Wilson (bass) and Billy Rymer (drums). According to the official press release, the band plans to play their debut album, Calculating Infinity, in its entirety during the show to celebrate the record’s 25th anniversary.
“The Dillinger Escape Plan has always been more than just a band,” said Minakakis. “We were a force of nature. This reunion show is our way of thanking the fans who have stood by us and the album we made in a small basement in NJ all those years ago.”
Calculating Infinity, which came out in 1999, was the only album Minakakis recorded with the band. He left the group in 2001, being unable to keep up with the extensive touring schedule. The group later brought in Greg Puciato as his replacement and recorded five more studio albums.
The Dillinger Escape Plan officially went on hiatus in 2017, with band members focusing on other projects. At the time, Puciato said that the band’s announced “hiatus” was actually a breakup.
