It peaked at No.29 at the US Billboard 200 charts, while topping the US Independent Albums and New Zealand Heatseekers Albums.

While he didn’t put out new material in 2018, DeMarco did release a collection of demo recording from This Old Dog titled Old Dog Demos, which also contained some of the songs that didn’t make the final cut. The album was first released exclusively as vinyl in spring and was later made available on the streaming platforms.
