]]>Clear 2: Soft Life will be released on May 19 via LVRN and Interscope Records. She previously teased this project while chatting with Billboard, and said she wants it to be longer than its predecessor, which featured four tracks: “Riot,” “Grave,” “Wasted” and “Settling”.
“The last one was like four songs. This one – I want it to be a lot longer so I can really get that sound out. That’s my favorite type of sound. I make what I got to make for the radio, but I’m very excited for [Clear 2]. Hopefully, my budget will be permitted,” she told Billboard.
Just a few months after dropping Clear, Walker released her first album Over It, which earned the biggest streaming week ever for an R&B album by a woman at the time, even surpassing the debut week of Beyoncé’s Lemonade. Its follow-up Still Over It came out in 2021, and it became Walker’s first album to debut atop the Billboard 200 chart.
