Back in May, Sum 41 announced they intended to release one final album before ceasing to exist. The record, titled Heaven :x: Hell,  is coming on March 29 and will be accompanied by the Tour of the Setting Sum, which will see the band performing a series of shows in Asia, North America, and Europe.

The tour kicks off in early March with shows in Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia. The band will then head to Japan for a six-date trip.

After the Asian leg of the tour, Sum 41 plans a series of concerts in April and May in North America before spending the majority of the summer playing in Europe. The second half of 2024 is reserved for another batch of dates in the United States and Canada.

Sum 41 will play their final show ever in Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena on January 30, 2025.

Speaking about the band’s decision to split, Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley said that they want to focus on other projects and believe they will be leaving the stage while at their best.

“I felt this is probably the best record we’ve ever made,” Whibley shared in an interview with Metal Injection. “And I think this version of the band is the best we’ve ever been live. And I thought, what a way to just go out on this one.”
