Billy Joel will spend most of 2024 wrapping up his iconic residency at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. But in between those concerts, the “Piano Man” will also pay a visit to several other U.S. cities for a series of stadium shows. And he won’t be alone.

Joel just announced a U.S. stadium tour that will also feature appearances from Fleetwood Mac vocalist Stevie Nicks and former The Police frontman Sting on selected dates.

Joel and Nicks will perform together on March 9 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and on June 21 at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois.

Sting will join Joel on February 24 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, April 13 at Petco Park in San Diego, California, and September 27 at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri.

The stadium tour will also see Joel performing solo shows in Seattle, Washington, for the first in eight years, and in Denver, Colorado, for the first time in five years.

Billy Joel announced back in November that he is bringing his decade-long residency at Madison Square Garden to an end. In 2014, Joel committed to playing one show every month as long as there was a demand for tickets. Since then, every show has been sold out. The residency will officially wrap up on July 25, marking his 150th concert at the venue.

Freddie Mercury, Elton John, and Aretha Franklin are just a few music legends who recently got a biopic treatment, but if you’ve been wondering who’s next to follow in their footsteps – it won’t be Sting.

The Police frontman is currently busy with his musical The Last Ship, which draws inspiration from his early years growing up in ship-building town in Northern England. Billboard took a moment to catch up with the legendary singer and ask him if he’d consider submitting himself to a Rocketman type biopic, but he doesn’t seem to be interested one bit.

“I just don’t think I want to. I’m telling my story in an artistic way. [The Last Ship] is a metaphor… The character I’m playing is built on composites of people like my father, uncles, people I was brought up with. That’s the way I want to do it, rather than somebody going, “What’s the arc of Sting’s life?” I haven’t finished it yet,” said Sting.

The famous singer is still open to the possibility of having The Last Ship adapted into a movie because he believes there’s a cinematic quality to it. This play first premiered back in 2014, had its Broadway run that same year, and it’s embarking on a national tour across the US this month.

Sting is heading to Las Vegas next year. The former The Police frontman just announced a residency in the Sin City, which will kick off next year at Caesars Palace.

Titled Sting: My Songs, the 16-dates residency will kick off on May 22, 2020, and run through September 2020. The shows will see Sting perform hits from his extensive catalog including songs from his time with The Police as well as his solo works and contain “dynamic, visual references to some of his most iconic videos and inspirations.”

Tickets for the shows will be on sale from May 3, 2019, with the price and full info yet to be revealed. Sting.com fan club members got the access to presale as of April 25th.

“Visually, sound-wise, dancing — it’s going to be a Vegas show. I’m really committed to that,” – Sting told the Associated Press. “I am a little frightened and a little excited at the same time.”

“Being in one place is actually a different, spiritual vibe,” – he added. “Welcoming people into your house — that’s basically what it’s going to be. I’ll be telling the story of my life through songs. I’ve had a long, interesting life and I can’t wait.”

Sting will join a rapidly expanding list of music acts who are taking their talents to Las Vegas. As of recently, that list includes Aerosmith, Cardi B, Drake, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez and many others.

KAABOO Texas is one of the most exciting new festivals coming in 2019. Judging by its first lineup, it already looks extremely promising – it features several iconic artists, including the Killers, Kid Rock and Sting.

The inaugural event will be taking place between May 10 and 12 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. It’s the first festival to ever be held on this venue, and its organizers are planning to create a three-day sound voyage that combines rock-n-roll music and tastemaking events in a modern wonderland.

KAABOO is a festival and lifestyle brand, which started its journey in 2015 in Southern California with KAABOO Del Mar. Jones Anderson attended the 2017 edition of this festival with a number of Dallas Cowboys executives, and that’s when they decided to bring this event to Arlington.

“They really have the experience and expertise we were looking for. KAABOO Texas is a unique experience that will define who we are and we couldn’t have asked for a better partner on this venture,” explained Anderson.
