]]> In 2017, the Royal Mail in Britain honored late singer David Bowie with a set of stamps dedicated to his music. Now, another musical legend gets this honor – Sir Elton John. The Royal Mail has announced a new set of 8 stamps celebrating the singer-songwriter contribution to the musical world.

The albums depicted on the stamps will include 1972’s Honky Chateau – his breakout album which features “Rocket Man” and “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” which features Candle in the Wind, Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting and Bennie and the Jets.

Other albums which will get a stamp are Caribou, featuring “The B**ch is Back” and” Don’t Let the Sun Go Down On Me” and 1975 Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy, which features “Someone Saved My Life Tonight.” The album’s cover was designed by Gianni Versace.

“To say I was surprised when Royal Mail got in touch is an understatement,” said John after the announcement. “Never did I think I’d appear on a stamp…! It’s wonderful, a great honor.”
