]]> It took a while for the entire world to become aware of Lizzo’s brilliance, but she was an amazing singer long before “Truth Hurts” became everyone’s summer anthem. Her old cover of Adele hit “Someone Like You” just resurfaced online, and it’s leaving people speechless.

The Moving clip was shared by the YouTube channel lizzomusic all the way back in 2011, but it took a while for people to rediscover it. The video sees our favorite rapper putting her powerful vocals on full display and delivering one of the most emotional renditions of this song we’ve ever heard.

The description of this throwback video reads “Bored & playing around with music again. Found the chords and decided to have some fun” and it also sees Lizzo showcasing her impressive piano-playing skills.

Two years after posting this video, the American rapper dropped her debut album Lizzobangers but failed to make a splash. The world finally learned her name after her third record Cuz I Love You hit no. 6 on Billboard 200 chart and helped people discover her old music.
