Slayer embarked on their farewell trip back in May 2018 and were planning to wrap it up by the end of the summer. Still, due to high fan demand, the group decided to extend the tour in order to “make it easy for the fans to see one last Slayer show and say goodbye.”

The added leg of the tour, titled The Final Campaign, kicks off on November 2^nd in Asheville and ends on November 30^th with a show in Los Angeles’ The Forum. The band will be joined on stage by Primus, Ministry and Philip H. Anselmo & the Illegals.

Once everything is said and done, Farewell World Tour will see Slayer completing more than 140 shows and performing in 30 countries around the world and 40 states in the U.S.

Besides Def Leppard, Slipknot and Tool, who were announced as first wave headliners, the festival will also see performances from Slash, Die Antwoord, Whitesnake, Rob Zombie, Aman Amarth, Carcass, Delain, Me First And The Gimme Gimmes, Opeth, and Power Trip among others.

Of course, this won’t be all from Download Festival 2019, since the organizers promised that many more acts would be announced in the coming months.
