]]>Directed by Nabil, the music video for “Jump” is a love letter to Tyla’s home country of South Africa. It was filmed on the streets of Johannesburg, and it sees the singer revisiting her old stomping grounds, while changing several elaborate outfits and showing off her dance moves throughout the video.
Tyla previously revealed she wanted to tap into a different vibe with this song, and she found the perfect partner in crime in Gunna, who helped her take “Jump” to the next level.
“I just felt like a rapper would take it further into the world that I really wanted it to be in. So after thinking, Gunna literally was the perfect choice for me, not only because he’s great but because he’s shown interest multiple times [in] Afrobeats and the love for the culture,” she told Okay Africa.
“Jump” was released as the fourth single from her self-titled debut album Tyla, which also produced songs “Water”, “Truth or Dare”, and “Art”.
