]]>Blood Red Roses will contain 13 tracks, but those who decide to get the deluxe version of the album will get three bonus covers. Rod Stewart co-produced the release with his longtime collaborator Kevin Savigar.
Stewart also presented a new song, “Didn’t I,” which will serve as the lead single for the record. Those who pre-order the album will get “Didn’t I” as an automatic download.

“I always think I make albums for a few friends and this record has that intimacy,” Stewart said of Blood Red Roses in the press release. “Sincerity and honesty go a long way in life and the same is true in songwriting.”
Even before the albums gets a proper release, Rod Stewart is planning to embark on a North America tour which will kick off July 24th at the Hard Rock Event Center in Hollywood, Florida. The tour will have 22 dates and will include Cyndi Lauper as a special guest.
