]]>The British hit-maker delivered her rendition of Mitchell’s classic during the latest episode of Spotify’s Under Cover podcast. This wasn’t her first time to play the song in front of other people, since she enjoys performing it for her friends whenever they’re drinking together.
Before playing the song, Ora expressed her admiration for Joni Mitchell and her ability to put so much emotion in this stripped-down song, describing her as a lyrical genius.
“You don’t expect how confident the words that she says are when you look at her. Her lyrics have so much depth and substance and presence that you don’t actually consider her the underdog. I feel like that’s what makes her so special,” explained Ora.
