]]>According to a report by Sports Seoul, Red Velvet’s next album will feature 10 songs of various genres. It will be released on November 16 via the group’s label SM Entertainment, which released all of their previous studio album in South Korea.
Releasing a new Red Velvet album is a huge deal for this K-pop label after a pretty rocky year. Several high-profile artists, including Girls’ Generation’s Sunny, and Super Junior members Eunhyuk, Donghae, and Kyuhyun, refused to renew their contracts with SM earlier this year, and Red Velvet now remains one of their most popular acts. Their future with the label was secured after the band member Seulgi renewed her contract with SM back in August.
Red Velvet’s previous two Korean Albums—The Red (2015) and Perfect Velvet (2017)—were also released by SM Entertainment. Avex Trax was in charge of handling the rollout of their first Japanese album Bloom, which came out last year.
