John Hanlon, who worked as an engineer on Ragged Glory, recently stumbled upon tapes with album’s recordings which featured plenty of material that was later left off from the final release.

The reissue will be titled Ragged Glory II and will be available as a vinyl and CD, as well as digital release. The release date is still to be determined, but the album will be out at some point in 2019.

“Listening to these tracks is a real head-scratcher,” said the post. “They are equal to anything on the existing record, maybe better. Possibly, the thought at the time was to have a single album and not include the songs from the last half of the unique ‘set-oriented’ recording sessions.”

Ragged Glory was originally released on September 9, 1990, and ended up becoming an instant classic. While it didn’t have a particularly great run on the charts, peaking at number 31 on Billboard U.S. 200, the album received critical acclaim. Some of Young’s classics which are featured on the record include “Mother Earth (Natural Anthem),” “White Line” and “Mansion on the Hill.”
