We were reminded of this song after Ricky Gervais used it during a touching scene in After Life. It had us tearing up then and it has us tearing up now.

The live version of this track is difficult to listen to because you can hear the relentless pain in his voice as he struggles to get through the song during one of his last performances.

Drugs Don’t Work (The Verve)

The content of the song is quite heavy and the lyrics are incredibly moving.
