]]>The Hayley Williams-fronted band returned to social media this week, posting a preview of their cover of Talking Heads “Burning Down The House”. The track will be part of the upcoming A Stop Making Sense: A Tribute Album, which will see 16 music acts covering 16 songs from Talking Heads’ extensive catalog.
In one of the previous interviews, Williams hinted at the existence of the cover by saying that Paramore recorded a track from David Byrne, Talking Heads frontman.
“All I’m going to say is it’s insane. It’s incredible. It’s unreal. And hopefully, it won’t be too long before we get to share it,” said Williams at the time.
After presenting their critically acclaimed sixth studio album, This Is Why, in early 2023 and wrapping up the promotional tour for the release, Paramore said that their future as a band is clouded by a “level of uncertainty.” This prompted fans to view their social media clean-up as a sign that the group was breaking up.
However, Variety later reported that Paramore plans to record a new album and that deleting the social media content represents a fresh start after the band parted ways with their recording company, Atlantic Records.
