]]> Heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne has been struggling with health issues recently and was forced to cancel a series of shows earlier this year as a result. He also announced that he is done with touring, prompting many to assume that Osbourne will retire from performing live altogether. Luckily for music fans, this doesn’t seem to be on the table for the former Black Sabbath frontman.

In a recent interview with Metal Hammer, Osbourne acknowledged that the days of touring and lengthy trips are behind him. However, he made it clear that he still intends to keep playing occasional live shows.  

“I mean, doing a live show is what I live for,” Osbourne said. I’ve had to cancel my [2023] European tour, but I’m determined.”

According to Osbourne, he will make sure to get in front of the crowd even if he needs a wheelchair to do it. “I’ve gotta do more gigs if I have to get someone to wheel me out there,” he added. “I mean, you can’t retire from this game. It’s not a job; it’s a passion. I don’t know how to do anything else.”

Osbourne is expected to return to the stage this October with a scheduled appearance at Power Trip Festival. The heavy metal-focused festival, which will take place at Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, will also feature shows from Metallica, Iron Maiden, Guns N’ Roses, Tool, and AC/DC.
