]]>This has been another fantastic week for new album releases, and we’ve witnessed several amazing drops across pop, hip-hop, and country. Kacey Musgraves’ Deeper Well produced several great songs, including “The Architect”, Justin Timberlake made it to our list with “No Angels” from Everything I Thought It Was, while Tierra Whack knocked it out of the park with “Snake Eyes” from World Wide Whack.
Many artists used their new singles to tease their upcoming albums. Zayn gave us a taste of Room Under the Stairs with “What I Am”, Vampire Weekend continued promoting Only God Was Above Us with “Classical”, while Don Toliver impressed us with “Deep in the Water” from Hardstone.
As for the rest of our list, Willow dropped her first single of 2024 “Symptom of Life”, while Halle Bailey shared her second solo single “In Your Hands”. “Strangers” singer Kenya Grace showed us she’s no one-hit wonder with “It’s Not Fair”, while Nothing But Thieves rocked our world with “Time :: Fate :: Karma :: God”.

]]>It’s been a pretty slow week for new album releases, but The Last Dinner Party still managed to rock our world with their debut album Prelude to Ecstasy. The British indie girl band has given us a pretty impressive collection of twelve amazing songs, including the defiant “The Feminine Urge”.
This week also marked the release of Billy Joel’s comeback single “Turn the Lights Back On”. This romantic ballad marks his first song in two decades, and it was definitely worth the wait!

]]>Dead Club City hit the shelves on June 30, and its release was preceded by singles “Welcome to the DCC”, “Overcome”, and “Keeping You Around”. It’s followed by two greatest hits albums on the chart: Elton John’s Diamonds and The Weeknd’s Highlights.
Nothing But Thieves celebrated the album’s success on social media and said they’re pretty shocked to see it reach No. 1 given its humble background.
“This album was made in an Essex studio, which we essentially built ourselves… It’s a synth-based concept record with too many guitar solos. This is all to say that despite our best efforts of self-sabotage, it’s only gone and got Number 1. It can still happen,” wrote the band in a statement.
Dead Club City is Nothing But Thieves’ first No. 1 album in the UK, but they managed to hit the top ten with all of their previous records, including 2015’s self-titled debut (peaking at No. 7), 2017’s Broken Machine (No. 2) and 2020’s Moral Panic (No. 3).

]]>Olivia Rodrigo’s long-awaited comeback single “Vampire” is definitely the week’s most exciting new release. The young singer used it to set the tone for her sophomore studio album Guts, which she officially announced about a week before sharing this song with the world.
As far as new albums go, none created more buzz than Lil Uzi Vert’s Pink Tape. The rapper’s new LP features collaborations with Travis Scott, Bring Me The Horizon, Don Toliver, and Babymetal, but none of them compares to the Nicki Minaj duet “Endless Fashion”.
Soundtracks for Barbie and The Idol made another appearance on our list this week. Charli XCX’s long-awaited Barbie song “Speed Drive” is here, and it exceeded our wildest expectations. Suzanna Son remains the best thing about The Idol soundtrack and she joined forces with The Weeknd and Lil Baby for “False Idols” this time around.
Check out the rest of our list to discover new music by Bad Bunny, Shakira, Nothing But Thieves, Jon Batiste, and many more.
