The original version of “Lemon” was released on November 1, 2017, as the lead single for N.E.R.D.’s fifth studio album, No One Ever Really Dies. Pharrell Williams wrote the song and served as a producer alongside Kuk Harrell. “Lemon” charted in the top 10 in several countries including Belgium and Israel while getting to the number one position on the US Rhythmic charts. The track was certified gold in Australia and U.S., while “Lemon” got excellent reception by the critics, who especially praised Rihanna’s rapping skills.

NBA is looking to make a really big bang this year with the NBA All-Star Game, assembling All-Star Team Producers Group, which features 200 staff and 30 entertainers from all of the league’s teams. Mascots, DJs, in-arena emcees, specialty dance team and more will ensure everyone will have a great fun for the All-Star Weekend.

On November 1, 2017, the band debuted their lead single from the album, titled “Lemon“ and featuring vocals from Rihanna. The song peaked on 46th position on the US Billboard Hot 100. A music video, directed by Todd Tourso and Scott Cudmore, was released on the same day.

Two more singles followed, “1000“ featuring Future and “Don’t Don’t Do It!“ with Kendrick Lamar. The album also features collaborations with Gucci Mane, Wale, M.I.A, André 3000 and Ed Sheeran. Most of the songs on No One Ever Really Dies were written by Williams, who also produced the album alongside Rhea Dummett, Kuk Harrell, Chad Hugo, and Mike Larson.

The newest N.E.R.D release gained significant praise from the critics, with some calling it their best album since 2001’s In Search Of… Still, it didn’t have the best chart performance, peaking at 31st spot on US Billboard 200 and only managing to crack in the top 10 in New Zealand.
