]]>Luckily for all of us who missed the show, one fan managed to capture Taylor’s rendition of “Moonage Daydream” on camera and shared it on YouTube. You can check out the video below.
Alongside Bowie’s classic, Taylor also played a number of other notable covers during his show including Black Flag’s “Rise Above,” Prince’s Cream, Poison’s “Nothin’ but a Good Time,” and INXS’ “Don’t Change.”
“Moonage Daydream” was first released in 1971 as a single from David Bowie-fronted band Arnold Corns. Bowie later decided to re-record the track with his backing band The Spiders from Mars for 1972’s album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, making it one of the more important pieces in the album’s story arc. The song has since become one of Bowie’s most notable works and was covered on previous occasions by numerous artists including The Chameleons, Beth Ditto, and Ann Magnuson.
