]]>The feel-good track is a taster of his upcoming album, which will take a new musical direction. The record will arrive just one year after his funky rock album Coup de Grace which was released last summer.
The new track is upbeat and colorful. It’s more stripped back than “Coup de Grace” and is a great vacation tune to have your last summer groove to. You can listen to the new track here:
Speaking about the inspiration behind his new single, Miles Kane told NME: “All this year, I’ve been sharing a room with my mate, a songwriter and producer called Jamie Biles.
“We have a little set-up in Hackney. Every time I’m not on tour, we go in there and write, prepare demos. It’s been non-stop, I’m feeling really creative and now ‘Blame It On The Summertime’ is coming out – only just in time for summer, I know!”
He added: “As the title says, it’s a real summer song. I’ve just got back from Ibiza after three days shooting the video.”

]]>In a recent interview with The Metro, Miles Kane admitted that he enjoyed the 2016’s shows he and Turner did.
“The Last Shadow Puppets was good, I had great fun with that,” he said.
Kane was then asked whether The Last Shadow Puppets could reunite for a tour or another album in the future.
“Bring them back? Who knows, yeah! Never say never.” – the 32-year-old musician responded.
But for now, Kane is focused on his solo career and promotion of his latest album Coup de Grace. The record was released back in August, meeting with mixed reviews. According to critics, Coup de Grace has some “exciting parts” but “lacks creativity.” The album reached number eight on UK Charts.
The Last Shadow Puppets were formed in 2007 when Alex Turner and Miles Kane decided to turn their joint writing sessions into an album. The group released their highly acclaimed debut The Age of the Understatement in 2008, topping the UK Charts and earning 2008 Mercury Music Prize nomination.
After the album’s release, Turner and Kane decided to turn their attention to their main projects, and the group remained inactive until 2016 and album Everything You’ve Come to Expect. The duo repeated the success of their debut album, but after accompanying shows in Europe and the United States, they decided to go on a hiatus once again.

]]>“This record for me is the most important record I’ve made to date,” said Kane. “It’s been 5 years in the making, a lot of emotion and excitement has gone into making this album!”
“But also, I’m a massive fan of wrestling and [the title was inspired by] favorite wrestler’s finishing maneuver,” he continued. “Lyrically it’s very personal and the delivery of the vocal is quite different for me. On the verses, there’s a lot more words than what I would do normally and then it opens up on the chorus.”
“It’s just a real mid-tempo, heavy ‘get your walk on’ tune, you know?”
