It looks like there might be still life left in The Last Shadow Puppets, the collab project between Arctic Monkeys’ Alex Turner and former The Rascals frontman Miles Kane. After releasing their second studio album Everything You’ve Come to Expect in 2016 and doing a subsequent tour, this supergroup is currently on an indefinite hiatus, but according to Kane, that might change at some point in the future.

In a recent interview with The Metro, Miles Kane admitted that he enjoyed the 2016’s shows he and Turner did.

“The Last Shadow Puppets was good, I had great fun with that,” he said.

Kane was then asked whether The Last Shadow Puppets could reunite for a tour or another album in the future.

“Bring them back? Who knows, yeah! Never say never.” – the 32-year-old musician responded.

But for now, Kane is focused on his solo career and promotion of his latest album Coup de Grace. The record was released back in August, meeting with mixed reviews. According to critics, Coup de Grace has some “exciting parts” but “lacks creativity.” The album reached number eight on UK Charts.

The Last Shadow Puppets were formed in 2007 when Alex Turner and Miles Kane decided to turn their joint writing sessions into an album. The group released their highly acclaimed debut The Age of the Understatement in 2008, topping the UK Charts and earning 2008 Mercury Music Prize nomination.

After the album’s release, Turner and Kane decided to turn their attention to their main projects, and the group remained inactive until 2016 and album Everything You’ve Come to Expect. The duo repeated the success of their debut album, but after accompanying shows in Europe and the United States, they decided to go on a hiatus once again.
