Her latest single takes a look back at those years, and she used it as an opportunity to embrace who she was as a teen and forgive herself for judging that person so harshly.

“For years, I apologized for the creative output of that time but in the making of this new collection of music, I was able to process so much and have come to have great affection for that young girl, that part of me, because she’s the reason I’m here today,” said Moore in a statement.

“Fifteen” will be featured on Moore’s first studio album in 11 years called Silver Landings, set to be released on March 6th.

The This Is Us star has been teasing her music comeback for a while, but things are looking a little bit more tangible now since her next album finally has a title and a release date. Silver Landings will be out on March 6th, and Moore will support it with a tour across North America.

This will be her first album since 2009 record Amanda Leigh. We only got to hear her single in Disney’s Tangled after this record came out, but Moore recently started releasing new music last year, and her latest single “Save a Little for Yourself” will be featured on her new album.

“Sometimes writing a song feels like giving myself the advice I know I need the most and it’s often the hardest to heed. It makes the song almost a mantra of sorts—something I know I’ll continue learning because it bears repeating,” Moore said about her latest track.

The This Is Us star has mostly been focusing on her acting projects in recent years and hasn’t given us a new album since 2009 when Amanda Leigh came out. She finally returned to the studio to work on its follow-up this year, and she’s celebrating her return to music in the best way possible.

Mandy Moore described her upcoming tour as an “elevated evening of new and old tunes, performed with a superb group of musicians” and said she’s thrilled to hit the road after over a decade.

“I want the show to have threads of what the writing and recording process was like with this band, almost like you’ve been invited in our living room for an inside glimpse. It just feels good to be sharing this side of me again in its purest form, a real side of me I have been itching to put back into the universe,” the 35-year-old singer said in a statement.

Moore previously released new singles “When I Wasn’t Watching” and “I’d Rather Lose” and it’s safe to expect they’ll be on her setlist when her tour kicks off in Pittsburgh on March 20, 2020. Her last concert is set to take place on May 9th, 2020 in Denver, and she’ll also visit New York, Chicago, Nashville and San Francisco in the meantime.
