The collection, named “Kurt Was Here”, features different art pieces left by the deceased musician — sketches, paintings, handwritten lyrics, etc. — printed on T-shirts and sweatshirts. 

“Safe Kurt”, available at KurtCobainShop.com. All sizes are unisex.

Although there have been numerous cases of fashion companies coming out with Kurt Cobain related articles over the years, this is the first official usage of his art for commercial purposes. Handpicked by daughter Frances, the collection is a collaboration between The End of Music, LLC and Live Nation Merchandise, and is available to purchase through KurtCobainShop.com.

 “We believe that the importance of art is exceedingly potent in today’s social and political climate,” Live Nation wrote to Rolling Stone, “and that it is the right time to share this collection of Kurt’s work with artists, collectors, and fans, allowing them to experience Kurt’s legacy in a new way, and collectively celebrate his lasting impact on the world.”

Kurt Cobain was a unique voice in music whose lasting impact on our culture cannot be underestimated. The world of fashion is just another step in his ongoing legacy.
