It marks both Jung Kook’s and Latto’s first No. 1 entry on the Billboard Hot. He’s the second member of BTS to hit No. 1 on his own, following in the footsteps of Jimin with “Like Crazy”.
In addition to topping the Billboard 100 chart, “Seven” also soared to No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, with 217.1 million streams and 269,000 downloads sold worldwide during its first week on the chart. This marks the second biggest overall streaming week of all time, behind “Butter” by BTS, which earned 289.2 million streams upon its debut in 2021.
As for the rest of the Billboard Hot 100 for this week, Jason Aldean’s controversial “Try That in a Small Town” hit No. 2 after CMT pulled its music video. It’s followed by Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night”, Luke Combs’ “Fast Car”, and Rema and Selena Gomez’s “Calm Down”.

]]>The post Latto, Doja Cat, & Ed Sheeran Among iHeartRadio Titanium Awards for One Billion Spins appeared first on Hot Pop Today.
]]>The list of songs to cross one billion spins by 2023 includes Doja Cat‘s “Woman,” Ed Sheeran‘s “Shivers,” Jack Harlow‘s “First Class,” Latto‘s “Big Energy” and Wizkid and Tems‘ “Essence”, based on total audience impressions.
Ed Sheeran even accepted his award in person while visiting iHeartRadio in New York, and said it’s really, really, really cool to have their listeners so invested in his music.
“You always wonder every album whether you’re going to lose the kids, because I constantly have young people coming to my gigs. With ‘Shivers,’ all these kids keep coming up to me saying they like ‘Shivers,’ and I’m like, ‘Alright, I still got them,’” said Sheeran in a statement.
All five songs were released during the 2020s, and “Essence” by Wizkid and Tems has been around the longest, after being released in October 2020. “Shivers”, “Big Energy”, and “Woman” were all released in 2021, while Jack Harlow’s “First Class” reached one billion spins during the shortest time frame, after hitting the shelves in April last year.

]]>This week marked the release of several new albums, but Foo Fighters’ But Here We Are is the buzziest of them all. The ten-minute track “The Teacher” was unleashed as the album’s fourth single ahead of its release, and it made it to our list of best songs.
This has also been an amazing week for epic collaboration and soundtrack music. Some of the songs on our list hail from hit movies and TV shows, including Ed Sheeran’s “A Beautiful Game” from Ted Lasso, Metro Boomin’s hip-hop infused “Calling” from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, The Weeknd’s “Popular” from The Idol, and “Watati” by Karol G and Aldo Ranks from Barbie.
Most of these songs are amazing collaborations between our favorite artists, but the list of A-list match-ups doesn’t end there. Latto and Cardi B gave us another show-stopping female-lead hip-hop duet with “Put It On Da Floor Again”, Lana Del Rey and her dad Rob Grant joined forces for “Lost at Sea”, and Nelly Furtado made her highly-anticipated comeback with “Eat Your Man” featuring Dom Dolla.
