This decade gave us many amazing songs from artists who apparently fell off the face of the earth after their signature tracks came out. Despite the fact they never found mainstream success, we still have a special place in our hearts for these one-hit wonders

Rachel Platten – “Fight Song”

Rachel Platten never reached pop stardom despite the fact she made it to the top 10 on Billboard Hot 100 chart with “Fight Song”, but she still managed to give us one of the most empowering tracks of the decade.

Gotye and Kimbra – “Somebody That I Used To Know”

None of the future singles released by these two artists managed to surpass the success of their signature song, which doesn’t come as a surprise since “Somebody That I Used to Know” earned the title of the best-selling hit of 2012.

Capital Cities – “Safe and Sound”

You’ve probably never heard any Capital Cities songs apart from “Safe and Sound,” but its catchy and positive beat was all we needed to fall in love with this indie duo after they dropped this sleeper hit.

The Neighbourhood – “Sweater Weather”

We all still enjoy hearing “Sweater Weather” every once in a while, but how often do you play any of the other songs by The Neighbourhood? Probably never.

Passenger – “Let Her Go”

British singer Michael Rosenberg aka Passenger gave us one of the moving love songs of the decade with “Let Her Go”, and we wish some of his future singles found the same kind of success.
