]]> The legendary bassist, John Paul Jones, will be making his live comeback with a brand new band.

The former Led Zeppelin bassist is largely hailed as one of the greatest bassists of our time. Now, the star is making his live return with his new band, Sons of Chipotle.

John Paul Jones has played in a couple of bands over the last decade, including Dave Grohl’s project, Them Crooked Vultures. Sons of Chipotle will see Jones playing electronics and piano alongside Anssi Karttunen.

The description on John Paul Jones’ official website reads: “It is incredibly rare to find two of the finest musicians in the world performing in such an intimate setting for what will be a series of remarkable concerts. Both musicians are known to be curious minds, always ready to learn and to discover.

“When they improvise, borders disappear, they are free to migrate beyond prejudices, across continents. In a world where walls are being built and people are told where they cannot go, Sons of Chipotle want music to be a place of openness.”

The description adds: “There will be two performances per day at The Pit Inn featuring John Paul Jones on piano and electronics, with Anssi Karttunen on cello and electronics.”

Sons Of Chipotle will perform at the Pit Inn in Shinjuku, Japan on September 3 and 5.

This definitive 368-page volume includes unseen photographs and artwork from the Led Zeppelin archives and contributions from photographers around the world.”
