]]>As part of the release, the group also announced that the new album will be out on May 29th.
You can hear “Caution,” which features a contribution from former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham, below.
“Caution” had its debut on the latest edition of Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show, which featured The Killers’ frontman Brandon Flowers as a guest. Flowers used the opportunity to give listeners some background bits about the track.
“It’s sort of about having the wherewithal to listen to that angel on your shoulder, even if they’re telling you something that you don’t want to hear,” explained Flowers. “And I think for me with this song was a lot about leaving Las Vegas. I was having this sort of hunch or impression that that was something that I was supposed to do for my family. And it was hard for me because I’m an ambassador for — and so it was tough for me to leave, and I thought I was able to harness that energy, and there was a sort of a relief when it happened, and you kind of feel that the spirit in “Caution.”
Flowers also acknowledged that the band’s previous studio effort Wonderful Wonderful featured some experimentation, so “Caution” represented a chance for them to get back to their roots.

]]>The band has posted a list of songs on Twitter that seems to be a list of potential songs recorded for the album. The list contains 11 song names and the caption reads “As easy as 1 2 3.”
Similar to a former list posted in October, the list is not 100 percent clear. The former list contained various drawings next to the songs’ names with ambiguous meaning, while the new list divides the songs to 3 sections – A-LIST, B-LIST and C-LIST.
The A-LIST contains 10 names: “Imploding the Mirage,” “Dying Breed,” “My God,” “Blowback,” “Running Towards a Place,” “Fire in Bone,” “Caution,” “When the Dreams Run Dry,” “My Own Souls Warming” and “Lightning Fields.”
The B-LIST contains only one song: “Man and Woman Enough,” and the C-LIST is mysteriously empty.
The album is due to be released in the spring of 2020 and will be followed by a UK and Ireland tour. This will be the band’s 6th album.
