If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power will follow Halsey’s 2020 studio effort Manic. The album received positive reviews and debuted on No. 2 on the U.S. Billboard 200 charts. Since then, the 26-year-old singer made several guest appearances on songs from Juice WRLD, Machine Gun Kelly, and others.
Reznor hasn’t been active as a producer outside NIN for a while. His most recent works include serving as a co-producer on Saul Williams’ The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of NiggyTardust! in 2007 and producing few songs for Jane’s Addiction in 2009.
Ross, on the other hand, co-produced Jehnny Beth’s critically-acclaimed debut effort To Love Is to Live, in 2020.
Besides working together on NIN’s music, Reznor and Ross also teamed up to make a number of music scores in recent years. This included HBO’s Watchmen, Netflix’s Mank, and Pixar’s Soul.
