]]> Glastonbury 2019 just keeps on getting better. This time, the organizers of this famous music festival announced that Australian pop star Kylie Minogue would be a part of the next year’s lineup, playing the prestigious legends-slot.

Minogue is scheduled to perform on Sunday, June 30 in the teatime slot, which is between 5 pm and 7 pm. She will join the likes of Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie and Neil Diamond, who all played the legends slot in previous years.

“We are delighted to announce that Kylie is finally bringing her show to Glastonbury,” said Glastonbury organizers in a statement. “She’ll play the legendary Sunday afternoon slot at next year’s Festival. And we cannot wait.”

Glastonbury 2019 will be the first time Kylie Minogue will play at this iconic festival.  The 50-year-old singer supposed to headline the festival 14 years ago but had to cancel her appearance due to treatment for breast cancer.

“I’m so thrilled to announce that I’ll be playing the ‘Legend slot’ on Sunday 30th June at @GlastoFest 2019.” – Minogue wrote on Twitter. “It will be 14 years since I was originally meant to appear there and so much has happened up to now. I can’t wait to see you all there to share this special show.”

It was previously announced that British rapper Stormzy will be the first headliner of Glastonbury 2019. The music acts that could fill out the remaining two headlining slots include The Cure, Arctic Monkeys, Lana Del Rey, and Paul McCartney.

]]> After taking a break in 2018, Glastonbury, the world’s biggest music festival, will return in the summer of 2019. The organizers of the festival are now working on a lineup for the next edition of the festival and have recently revealed British MC Stormzy as the first headliner of Glastonbury 2019.

Stormzy will perform at the festival’s famous Pyramid Stage on Friday, June 28th. He will be the first grime artist to headline the event and first rapper since 2015 and Kanye West to do so.

The announcement was first made via posters put on Oxfam shops in Glastonbury and Streatham, and the news was later confirmed on the festival’s official Twitter page.

Stormzy managed to establish himself as one of the most popular new British music acts in the past few years. He started his music career on UK’s underground scene and released several successful singles and mixtape before getting a chance to record his debut album.

He released Gang Signs & Prayer in February 2017 to critical acclaim, topping the UK Album Charts and winning the British Album of the Year award at the 2018 Brit Awards. Stormzy is currently working on his second studio album.

The other two headliners for Glastonbury 2019 will be probably confirmed early next year, with some high-profile names being rumored to be in the mix. Some of the artists that could take the Pyramid Stage on June 29th and 30th include Paul McCartney, Childish Gambino, Liam Gallagher, The Cure, and Fleetwood Mac.
