Back in the ’90s, the Spice Girls were a force to be reckoned with. Their hit single “Wannabe” topped the UK charts for seven weeks in a row and achieved double platinum status. After pretty much-achieving world domination, however, the Spice Girls decided to call it quits in 1998.

Years after the band’s breakup, Geri Horner claimed that the reason the band split up was that she was exhausted. It was Geri that left the band and she blamed her decision on feeling “left out” on numerous occasions.

At Saturday’s show in London, however, Geri reportedly stepped up and apologized to the rest of the group in front of the crowd of thousands.

“I need to say something I should have said a long time ago,” she said. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry I left. I was just being a brat. It is so good to be back with the girls that I love.”

After issuing her apology, the band played “Goodbye”, the number one single that was released following Geri’s departure.

The Spice Girls UK tour has now officially concluded and has certainly ended on a high.
