Foo Fighters decided to turn it up a notch for their recent Madison Square Garden live show by inviting comedian Dave Chappelle to join them and sing Radiohead’s hit “Creep.”

A fan-made clip posted on social media shows Foo Fighters’ frontman Dave Grohl talking to the crowd and telling them the group wanted to do something special for this gig. Several moments Chappelle arrives on the stage and proceeds to channel his inner Tom Yorke for a respectable delivery of the ’90s classic.

Check out the video below.

Interestingly, this wasn’t the first time Dave Chappelle covered “Creep,” which apparently became his go-to track when he’s in the mood for singing. As Rolling Stone points out, Chappelle previously delivered a rendition of the song during Erykah Badu’s birthday party in 2016 and sang it with Ed Sheeran at one afterparty in Washington, D.C., a year later.

Foo Fighters had several other crowd-pleasing moments during the concert. This included the group covering Bee Gees’ “You Should Be Dancing,” and Queen’s “Somebody to Love,” with drummer Taylor Hawkins and Grohl swapping places for the latter one.

Following the MSG concert, the band is scheduled to embark on a tour across the United States in July and August while previously revealing plans to add “many more” shows after that.

If you are hoping that Foo Fighters might release a new album soon, we have some bad news. According to the band’s frontman Dave Grohl, Foo Fighters will “take a break” after they wrap up the rest of the live shows on their current tour.

“It’s a challenge, you know? You kind of set these goals for yourself, to see if you can do it again, even when you’re crawling to the finish line you know that it’s there.” – the 49-year-old rocker told Billboard. “So here we are at the last set of shows we’ve been on for a year and a half, and I’m ready to take a break, but I’m ready to do it again at some point.”

This doesn’t mean, however, that Grohl isn’t thinking about the band’s new record.

“When we start making records, it’s almost like I don’t hear the song as much as I can see them in my head,” – he added. “I don’t read music, I see music in kind of shapes and patterns. So I can see the next record, I know that there is another one there, I don’t know when but I think I know what we should do.”

Foo Fighters’ last album Concrete & Gold came in September 2017, meeting with positive reviews from the critics. The record debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 while topping the charts in twelve other countries.
