]]>Mustaine, who is currently recovering from throat cancer, has released a short video on the band’s official YouTube page where he discusses the art in “Death by Design”, and specifically the story accompanying the song “The Conjuring”.
The song, recorded on 1986’s Peace Sells… But Who’s Buying? is a fan favorite, but Mustaine had at one time considered it to be “too evil” to play live. In fact, he only went back to playing it on stage last year, after almost 17 years of not conjuring it up!
“The way that the art has translated in ‘The Conjuring’, it’s probably some of the best art of the entire project,” says Mustaine. “You look at those images and they’re so mind-blowing you just can’t help but look and get interested. It makes you engrossed and you do more and more and that’s how it is,” he summarized.
