At one point, Bangalter was approached by a scalper who offered to sell him a ticket for the show. Bangalter was so amused with the conversation that he ended up actually buying a ticket and used it to get back to the venue.
“I thought it would be funny, so I bought the ticket, went to the venue, and waited,” Bangalter shared.
Since Daft Punk, which also consisted of Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, announced their breakup, Bangalter was engaged in a number of solo projects. He composed a score for ballet Mythologies, worked on the art project Chiroptera, and scored Quentin Dupieux’s comedy Daaaaaalí! The 49-year-old musician is also set to contribute to Kraftwerk member Wolfgang Flür’s upcoming solo album.
